From 2015 to 2017, the Charitable Fund "International Association for  Support of Ukraine" implemented the "School of Walking" project for combat veterans who had lost lower limbs.

The project was carried out at the SKA Zicksee Orthopedic Clinic (Austria) with the support of Raiffeisen Bank and the Roshen Corporation.

The SKA Zicksee Orthopedic Clinic specializes in musculoskeletal diseases and the rehabilitation of patients after the implantation of artificial hip, knee, and shoulder joints, as well as rehabilitation following amputations.

In addition to medical treatment and prosthetics, the clinic places significant emphasis on movement training for daily life. Various compresses, baths, and massages provide muscle relaxation and pain relief. Water aerobics, swimming, and therapy ensure safe and independence in movement. Therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, laser therapy, and magnetotherapy help restore function, strengthen muscles, and improve overall mobility.

The SKA Zicksee Orthopedic Clinic is located in Sankt Andrä am Zicksee in Burgenland, where the dry and warm climate, with over 300 sunny days per year, offers ideal conditions for recovery.

During the implementation of the "School of Walking" project, over 40 combat veterans underwent three weeks of rehabilitation at the SKA Zicksee clinic and learned to walk after prosthetic procedures.
